Textiles of the World offers an array of traditional and contemporary textiles, including woven, embroidered, appliqué and batik pieces that can be displayed through out the home.
Textiles of the World is not designed with the serious collector in mind, however to inspire people with an interest in home décor to use traditional or contemporary textile wall hanging as alternatives to more familiar art.
Textiles of the World began by offering offer a unique selection of pieces from Vietnam, Laos and the Yunnan province of China.
In 2012 the offering has grown to include not just wall hangings but framed fabrics from Africa, Australia both contemporary and indigenous, handpainted Malaysian batik, and Japanese kimono silk.
The second addition in 2012 is wall art for children, there are such wonderful fabrics around and many that would brighten up many a childs room. Most of the children’s fabrics are hand silk screened created and produced in Australia.
